Our Web-based Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) application - Shopfloor-Online - is a configurable solution that helps manufacturing companies achieve measurable improvements in efficiency, output, compliance, quality and customer satisfaction. It provides integrated real-time information from across the entire manufacturing environment.
We work with some of the biggest names in manufacturing, such as Toyota, Nissan and Volvo in the automotive area; Airbus in aerospace; Crown and Rexam in packaging; as well as many other clients.
The customer base for Shopfloor-Online is growing quickly and each new project takes us into new and challenging areas. A Shopfloor-Online project implementation demands that the project team understand a customer's business, their manufacturing process and operational challenges. Implementing Shopfloor-Online requires that the product is customised to fit each new situation - providing a perfect business fit.

Key skill requirements for the Project Engineer role are:
- Excellent communication skills
- Placement or working experience of C#, Vb.Net ideally, although demonstrated Java or C++ experience would be considered
- Sound understanding of database coding, especially writing SQL. An understanding of stored procedure development would be advantageous but not essential
- Understanding of HTML and CSS
- A long term interest in programming
As a project engineer your job will involve:
- Designing and configuring Shopfloor-Online solutions
- Writing SQL to implement complex custom reports
- Developing links to factory devices, databases and ERP systems
- Writing stored procedures
- Building dynamic, responsive web-solutions
- Writing C# interface scripts
